I believe in discovering what you're passionate about and chasing after it! I left the TV business to chase my photography dreams. I've known pretty much my whole life that I needed something more than a 'normal job' to feel fulfillment in life. Once I realized photography was the answer, I made a leap of faith that turned out to be the best risk I ever took. Now I wake up everyday doing what I love while meeting new people and making new friendships.
Whether I'm photographing a wedding or a portrait session, it's my goal to be more than your photographer. I approach every photography opportunity as a friend so I can learn about you and what makes you unique.
My commitment is sharing people's individual stories through the photographs I capture. The value is preserving those special moments forever.
-I started as a street portrait photographer and developed the Humans of Hartford Facebook & Instagram pages. I obviously loved the Humans of New York concept and wanted to apply that same photography approach to Hartford, CT. I've been photographing and interviewing people in Hartford for the last 4 years, and in that time I've learned that while we may all walk very unique roads in life that make us different, there are always common themes that make us very similar.
-I'm a UConn graduate. I studied Communications & Film, but got my real experience working for UCTV where I learned a lot of the basics of cameras and editing that I know today.
-I love staying fit and exercising, whether it's working out in the gym or just taking a refreshing hike in nature.
-I believe in starting the day with coffee. I also love summer. So if I can drink my coffee outside on a summer morning, it makes the day even better!
-I love martial arts! I did Tae Kwon Do for 20 years and Aikido for 7 years. I appreciate the self-discipline, focus, and respect that the martial arts taught me from an early age. I know they helped develop the ambition I needed to start and run a photography business.
