Get ready for a rather unique engagement session as I had what seems to be the rare opportunity to photograph inside the Connecticut State Capitol building for Catherine & Sam’s engagement session. Catherine and Sam met at UConn in Storrs back in November 2009. Their shared interest in politics led them to professions inside the Capitol Building in Hartford, CT. Hence how we got some exclusive access!
I asked Catherine and Sam to tell me what they admire about each other. Catherine admires Sam’s honesty and rationality as well as his loyalty and strength. Sam loves Catherine’s drive and ability to have fun (Catherine is clearly rocking laughter and smiles in many of the photos).
The Connecticut State Capitol Building was the perfect and most meaningful location for Catherine and Sam’s engagement session given their shared passions in politics. We even had some exclusive access thanks to their friends in high places 🙂 Thank you so much to the Capitol staff that assisted and allowed for this engagement photoshoot to happen inside! I love how these photographs came out, and I can’t wait for their wedding day in September!
