If you’re looking for a unique location in Connecticut, look no further than Gillette Castle in East Haddam. It’s stone architecture serves as the perfect backdrop whether you’re taking wedding, elopement, engagement or family photos. Here’s a look at Monica and Tim’s 2020 elopement sessios, which consisted of a First Look, Bride and Groom portraits, Ceremony, and family portraits.
We began with their First Look photos by this stone archway on the main path to the castle. I just love their genuine tears. I could tell instantly how much these two love each other!
Monica was having trouble getting her locket open. Inside was a picture commemorating her father’s life, and Monica wanted a photo with it. Knowing its significance, Tim (having the shorter finger nails), immediately pitched in to help open the locket.
We used this quiet corner of the Castle for their elopement ceremony. This spot was ideal as it had softer lighting and was away from the crowds visiting the castle.
