Alycia and Adam had their summer wedding at The Publick House Historic Inn in Sturbridge, MA. The Publick House is the perfect choice for the couple who wants an authentic New England wedding. The historic charm and country setting make it a unique wedding venue that’s also conveniently located near the boarders of Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Here’s a preview of some of their bride and groom portraits that we took in The Meadow site during cocktail hour:
And now to where the day began:
Before doing her First Look with her future husband, Alycia wanted to do a First Look with her father.
And now the moment Alycia and Adam were eagerly waiting for: Their First Look. I always encourage my Publick House couples to do their First Look at the barn, if they like the setting. The barn provides shade on very sunny days, and not to mention, it’s a beautiful backdrop with those New England wedding vibes.
Normally I’d skip blogging the wedding party entrances, but this crew had way too much fun with their entrances to not share!
If you’re looking to get a photo with everyone at your wedding, you can either do an “everyone photo” on the dance floor….OR….something fun for everyone: The Table Dash! This involves your DJ announcing for all guests to stand at one side of their tables and leave a space in the middle for the bride and groom to position themselves. The DJ will play a song, and the bride and groom with “dash” from table to table, quickly taking photos with each table before the song ends. I’ll admit, I actually love the table dash. It’s a convenient, fun and more modern way of taking those traditional “table photos.”
